Set standard galvanized, schedule 40/80 or oilfield pipe in concrete. Follow local codes for depth.

U-bolt the 2" horizontal pipe in place, attach your panel rails, and set the tilt for your latitude.

Solar pole mount questions
What pipe size do I need?
Top of pole mounts fit 3" (3.5" OD) or 4" (4.5" OD) ground pipe. Array top caps fit 2" (2 3/8" OD) or 2.5" (2 7/8" OD) ground pipe. Both use 2" (2 3/8" OD) pipe for the horizontal cross pipe. Measure the outside diameter of your pipe to be sure.
How many panels can one pole hold?
A top of pole mount holds up to 3 large 300-400W panels or up to 6 100W panels. For more panels, use array top caps across several poles.
Do I need to weld anything?
No. Everything bolts on. The mounts clamp to the pipe with bolts and U-bolts, which are included.
What kind of pipe works?
Standard galvanized schedule 40 or 80 pipe, or oilfield pipe. You can buy it at most hardware and big box stores.
